TOOL Tease New Tour Dates Announcement

Tool are slowly leaking out new bits of info. We named Tool’s forthcoming record one of the most anticipated releases of the year, could we actually get it in 2017? Shortly after Adam Jones revealed the band completed another arrangement, we heard, Maynard James Keenan was finally working on vocals. That would indicate the band is nearing the end of the recording process, as Maynard has said in past interviews that he doesn’t start on vocals until the music is completely done.

Perhaps with the completion of their new album on the horizon, the band is feeling more comfortable about leaving the studio and heading out on the road. Tool already have two gigs lined up this summer, at NYC’s Governor’s Ball and at Boston Calling the following week – and according to a new Facebook post, more tour dates are coming this week:

I will be posting some NEW TOOL TOUR DATES next week, so be sure to keep checking the site for INFO ABOUT MORE SHOWS.

It’ll be interesting to see if these are just a scattering of shows, or a full-blown tour. Could we possibly be hearing new material on the tour? The band already teased a new passage during live dates last year. I guess we will know soon enough. One thing is for sure, nothing beats Tool in a live setting.
