The rebel lounge and the three bad jackoffs

Three bad jackoffs…

Well that’s what the band’s name should be re-named to if you ask me.

The Rebel Lounge formerly known as Mason Jar had to close down once again for a few nights. Saturday night the band “Three Bad Jacks” played at this popular venue doing their routine act. It seems they like to light things on fire and stand around and watch.

Now I can understand using fire at show I’ve attended many and have captured the great moments of them… but all the people that I know who deal with  fire acts are certified and know what they are doing. They also know common sense and what size venues work best for using fire. “The Rebel Lounge” is not a safe venue to do fire in. It is a fairly small venue with very low ceilings. I don’t get how anyone in their right mind allowed this. What also get me was the fact people just stood around for quite a period of time before even doing anything. Are we trying to pull another Great White here?

It also seems like the venue and security didn’t care as when the sprinklers came on no one was in a rush to get anyone out.

I honestly hope the band gets fined if not sued for the acts they have pulled at this venue. They risked lives doing this stupid act.

Video shows bandleader Elvis Suissa of Three Bad Jacks squirting lighter fluid on the floor in front of The Rebel Lounge stage and then igniting it.

A short time later, huge flames were shooting into the air and then the fire sprinklers went off, soaking everything and everyone in the club.

Myers said on Facebook that lighting a fire is a signature move for Three Bad Jacks.

“Unfortunately the venue had low ceilings and for lack of better judgment, they did it,” Myers wrote on Facebook. “The crowd was hyped up. I’m sure he [Suissa] got caught up in the moment.”

Nobody protested against the fire, not even security, according to Myers. She said she had fun and even helped carry the band’s equipment after the show. She said it was a mistake and she is still a fan of Three Bad Jacks.

So now it’s the venues fault all this happened? I’m sorry but these guys are idiots.

  • The band will definitely be sued for damages and for any cancelled shows as well as possibly face charges of endangering the public, unprofessional is an understatement here. According to witnesses who were out in the parking lot after security got everyone out, the band just packed up their gear and didn’t even apologize to the fans or anyone as if this were business as usual. Bunch of idiots.

  • Who is really at fault here? It sounds to me it’s blame on both sides.
