The Butcher Babies are a Heavy Metal band from Los Angeles, California that formed in 2010. Fronted by Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey on Vocals, with Henry Flury (Guitar), Jason Klein (Bass), and Chris Warner (Drums). With all members citing their passion for Metal and with both Carla and Heidi citing Wendy O.        In 2011 the band self-released their first EP, and in the summer of 2011 they released a comic book at Comic Con International in San Diego, California. The comic book was written by Carla Harvey and illustrated by Anthony Winn. Attracting attention from their live shows for their aggressive musical approach and horror themed antics as well as on Youtube for their performance of Pantera’s “Fucking Hostile”. In May of 2012 they would release their first music video for “Mr. Slowdeath” from their self-titled first Ep.

In November 2012, the Butcher Babies signed a worldwide deal with Century Media Records. Days after finishing their North American tour with Marilyn Manson, they would record their debut album Goliath, which would be released in July of 2013 and would tour on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival 2013 on the Jägermeister Stage.

In late 2014 the band announced that they would begin working on their second album, and in April of 2015 they completed the album. In August of 2015 their sophomore album,Take It Like a Man was released.

Butcher Babies have to date released two EPs and Two albums, and have taken part in many tours and festivals with many mainstream acts since their formation. They have changed the stage attire over the years, but one thing that remains the same is their reputation for their aggressive assault upon the stage and the “in your face” performance mentality that they bring to their shows.

Tonight the Butcher Babies take the stage in support of Lacuna Coil as they join them in their 2016 North American Tour, and Soundwave Brigade is here to cover their performance and share it with you.

From the darkness of the the stage the Butcher Babies storm the stage as the lights come on as they open up with “National Bloody Anthem”, with Heidi and Carla taking position on the risers near the edge of the stage to greet the awaiting fans before them. With Jason and Henry also presenting themselves in the chaos of their stage show with Chris assaulting his Drums. The members of the Butcher Babies are all over the stage and in your face as they deliver their mix of Metal with a side of Horror as they perform songs such as “The Butcher”, and “Monsters Ball”. Heidi and Carla are very interactive entertainers when on stage, with engaging the fans and the photographers with humorous and friendly gestures. During the show, fans were granted access to run through the photo pit to give Heidi and Carla “high fives” as they passed through the pit. The Fans had a great time and so did the Butcher Babies, they threw down an intense set which ended with “Axe Wound”. With a final thank you to Tempe, the show ends.

They play a hell of a crazy show, and that’s what they are known for… and they live up to it. Soundwave Brigade had a great time here too and just so you can see for yourself what goes on at a Butcher Babies show, we shot some video of “Blonde Girls All Look the Same” for you to check out as well as the photos we shot of their performance to share with you.
