Asking Alexandria and Black Veil Brides – Resurrection Tour at Marquee Theatre

On February 20, 2018 Asking Alexandria and Black Veil Brides pack the Marquee Theater in Tempe, AZ with support from Crown The Empire. Fans of all ages began lining up early to claim a spot right in front of the bands to play; the line stretched from the Marquee Theater doors to about a third of the way across the the Arizona Mill bridge in which leads to the Marquee.

The doors opened promptly at 5:30 PM  and the fans squeeze tighter in the line in anticipation to get inside the venue. After getting searched from security and tickets scanned, the fans immediate action once inside the Marquee was to line up at the merchandise booth’s and rush into the standing area of the venue.

Supporting band Crown The Empire kicked off the show, hyping the crowd with songs such as  “20/20”, “Zero”, “Voices”, “Cross Our Bones” and “Machines”. With the standing area for the crowd packed from the barrier at the front to beyond the sound board you could feel the band grabbing the attention of the crowd.

Second on deck was the heavy hitter Asking Alexandria, who on this tour is promoting their new self-titled album Asking Alexandria. You could feel the crowds anticipation as they waited in excitement for the venue to go black; the crowd gets tighter in the already packed show with no one leaving their claimed territory. In an instant the venue lights dim and the crowds excitement is heard as a roar of cheers fills the room. The band members walk out to a crowd of their very own Arizonian fans showing appreciation for the bands return home.

They start their set with their hit single “Into The Fire”; Their set comprised of songs off the new album Asking Alexandria, released December 14, 2017, songs such as “Alone In The Room”, “Under Denver”, “Vultures”, “Where Did It Go?” and “Eve”.  They also played some of their older hits such as “Killing You”, “Someone, Somewhere”, “Not The American Average” and “A Prophecy”. Along with a killer setlist another amazing aspect of their show was their stage and light production. With unexpected shots from their smoke canons, to the giant led screen in the background and a spectacular light show fans definitely got their money’s worth attending this show.

And for the finale of the night, Black Veil Brides perform to a crowd of already excited and hyped fans. They start their set to a crowd shouting in excitement with hands in the air with the song “Faithless”. Other songs that made the setlist for Black Veil Brides were “Coffin”, “Wake Up”, “Rebel Love Song”, “Lost It All” and “Knives and Pens”.

All in all the show was a powerhouse of great music, vibes and fans having a good time rocking out. They definitely created the tour with the fans in mind, as it shows in the production of the event.
